Don’t return here. When this place is crowded later, don’t come here and mad at me, saying ‘Sir, this was my place’

“Don’t return here. When this place is crowded later, don’t come here and mad at me, saying ‘Sir, this was my place’,” stated Jokowi when re-inaugurating food court in Tanah Abang Blok G Market, Monday (4/14).

According to Jokowi, he has ordered authorized party to change the owners to empty spaces with other people. He said that many, not only dozens or hundreds, but thousands have lined up to trade in Tanah Abang Blok G Market.

Block G Market Connecting Bridge Almost Collapsed

“The right and left sides of the market are the golden points due to most crowded points. Not only that, it is also because these points will be connected to Tanah Abang Station. Not to mention, there are escalator and bridge. What else (do you need?),” he expressed.

Meanwhile, Buyung, one of food vendors in Blok G Market, conveyed his gratitude to Jokowi who has facilitated the vendors with a place for business. He also promised to take care and keeping the cleanliness of this place.

“Thank you, Mr. Governor. I’m representing all Blok G vendors in the food court. We will take care and keep the cleanliness and comfort of our place,” he uttered.

As known, Jakarta Provincial Government keeps adding facilities in Tanah Abang Blok G Market, such as escalators and connecting bridge between Blok G and Blok F. That is one way to attract people to visit the market, and also to make the access easier.
